OT Systems Administrator

As an OT Systems Administrator, you will be at the forefront of managing and securing the intersection between Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) systems within a production environment. Your role will involve administering, maintaining, and optimizing IT infrastructure in OT environments to support critical operations and ensure cybersecurity resilience.

Responsibilities:

  • Administration of Microsoft Server Technologies
  • Manage and setup Virtual machines in VMWare
  • Administration and troubleshooting of Remote Access technologies
  • Maintain Virtualization hosts and ensure they are up to date
  • Configuration and maintenance of Network Switches
  • Patch, support and maintain IoT devices and industrial equipment needed to successfully operate and control our OT and Automation systems
  • Provide direct support and monitoring of technical infrastructure
  • Cyber Security: Design, implement and monitor security controls that strictly follow company
  • policies and industry best practices
  • Conduct daily security monitoring activities, escalating incidents as necessary
  • Manage user access and permissions and the back-up of systems
  • Collaborate closely with local IT, Operations and Controls Engineer
  • Implementing and administrating new and evolving technologies

 

Das bringen Sie mit

Required:

  • Minimum 3-5 Years of relevant experience
  • VMWare Virtual infrastructure environment
  • Working Knowledge of IT system functionality, architecture and capabilities
  • Microsoft Windows Server technologies
  • TCP/IP network troubleshooting proficiency

Preferred: 

  • Working knowledge of Industrial Control and/or SCADA systems and related protocols
  • Experience in Manufacturing environment
  • Background in Firewall Administration
  • Certifications: Microsoft, VMWare or Cisco preferred

  • paced environment.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Able to successfully juggle multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability as an outstanding team player and a successful independent worker.

Education:

  • Associate degree Required, Bachelor’s degree in related fields preferred (Can be substituted by relevant work experience)

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be willing and physically able to walk/work in, observe and spend time in a smelter environment.
  • Must be willing and physically able to work in intense heat situations.
  • Prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, climbing, balancing, crouching and kneeling.
  • May have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, in meetings or presenting and training.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Ability to travel throughout facility as required to conduct audits and/or walk-throughs.
  • Must wear all required PPE when in protected areas.
  • Required to reach and grasp with hands and reach with arms.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to respond to any safety incident quickly and effectively and/or accident including First Responder duties.
  • Willing and physically able to travel domestically and/or internationally, if requested.
  • This is an extensively physical role.
