Process Engineer (m/f)

Your Tasks

  • As a Process Engineer you initiate and develop projects from an idea through conceptual phase to comprehensive feasibility study. You increase and use the diversity of engineering knowledge in the Aurubis Group and develop and expand this knowledge;
  • You collaborate with R&D to further develop R&D project into engineering projects;
  • You are responsible for further development of existing technologies and provide an input for other departments;
  • You set up engineering guidelines and take care of the standardization of engineering processes and equipment;
  • You support Operations with troubleshooting advice and collaborate with maintenance providing reliable engineering services;
  • You prepare calculations, technical specifications and process flow diagrams;
  • You assess the environment, health and safety impact on design development.

Your Profile

  • You successfully obtained a Master’s degree in Engineering, Technics or chemistry and have at least 10 years of experience as Engineer in an international environment;
  • You are able to understand and assess the value of engineering technology and to translate this into investment projects;
  • You have the ability to create networks & alliances to engage with multiple clients & stakeholders;
  • You take responsibility in making independent decisions;
  • You have strong communication, negotiation and analytical skills;
  • You speak and write fluently English and Dutch. Knowledge of German is an asset;
  • You preferably have a general knowledge of non-ferrous/copper industry.
  • Working for Aurubis Group Engineering, you are based in Olen (Belgium) but willing to travel within Europe to the other Aurubis sites.
