The Corporate Procurement division is responsible for sourcing all indirect materials, goods, and services. We serve as the interface between our company’s production sites and the procurement markets. We work to secure optimal procurement conditions and procurement support for CapEx projects – and to ensure that our sites are well supplied.

Supplier Development Manager (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

  • In this position, you align supplier evaluation criteria, manage risks along the contract runtime and onboard new suppliers together with the responsible category manager and the related departments.
  • You run supplier qualification processes incl. initial assessments in cooperation with the responsible category manager.
  • Furthermore, you monitor the supplier performance for defined procurement categories and you cross-functionally align corrective measures, if required – in cooperation with the responsible category manager.
  • In addition, you incorporate performance evaluation inputs from cross-functional teams and projects.
  • You plan and conduct initial and interim audits with engineering and category managers.
  • While tracking the action plans you will be responsible for escalating with the supplier leadership, if necessary.
  • Additionally, you assess risks for new suppliers, define mitigation activities and iterate regularly in a cross-functional workshop setting.
  • You actively flag the supply base risks towards relevant stakeholders and rate suppliers based on overall input criteria with the responsible category manager.
  • Moreover, you conduct regular evaluation discussions with the supplier leadership in cooperation with the responsible category manager.

Your Profile

  • You have successfully completed a master’s or bachelor's degree – preferably in the field of economics, engineering or equivalent.
  • In addition, you have at least five years of professional experience in supplier management and procurement or quality.
  • Good SAP R/3 and/or S/4HANA, Ariba and MS 365 skills are needed.
  • You have the ability to understand company and procurement strategies and to derive actions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a high level of stakeholder management should be given.
  • You have strong teamworking skills and an interest in new tasks and challenges followed by a strong initiative attitude.
  • Additionally, you have the willingness and ability to self-reflect.
  • Fluency in English and German round off your profile.
