Senior Manager (m/f/d) Business Analytics

Your Tasks

  • lead a team of specialists
  • identify business opportunities for the Aurubis Group
  • manage and participate in group-wide projects in cooperation with customers, the production department and supply chain management
  • provide support for the development and implementation of our innovation strategy by applying advanced mathematical methods and expert systems
  • manage and participate in projects that support investment decisions for projects concerning innovation, market positioning and future planning at all sites by estimating their technical and economic potential by using mathematical models
  • implement new analytical methods and strategies for group-wide use in process development and process optimization
  • develop market analyses and business cases for new markets
  • analyze internal processes and develop business cases for internal process improvements
  • communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • conduct project management for ongoing initiatives and projects

Your Profile

  • master’s (university) or technical college degree in engineering, economics, mathematics/natural sciences, information technology or the like
  • doctoral degree advantageous
  • at least 3 years of professional experience in the area of business analytics, transformation, corporate development and/or project management in an industrial company or a consultancy
  • experience in the areas of modelling, optimization, statistics or data analysis of technical (preferably metallurgical) processes
  • excellent project management and leadership skills
  • experience in the area of supply chain and inventory management
  • basic knowledge of modelling and programming languages such as GAMS, AIMMS, MATLAB, R, Python, C++ or Java
  • brilliant MS Office skills (particularly Excel)
  • excellent command of English; strong command of German beneficial
  • outstanding ability to grasp concepts and a strategic, long-term and holistic view
  • excellent communication skills, creativity and team spirit
  • confident manner and assertiveness as well as analytical and conceptual way of thinking
