Corporate Development is responsible for the strategic direction of the Aurubis Group. Working in close cooperation with the business units and other central functions, we analyze the market environment and identify and evaluate strategic development potential. We implement strategic projects, including mergers & acquisitions and cooperation with other companies. Project Manager Business Development / M&A (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

  • You will support or manage M&A projects in coordination with the management
  • You will identify and develop further business growth opportunities for the Group and its business areas
  • You will evaluate business opportunities from business, strategic and financial perspective, incl. building and operating financial models
  • You will further develop internal standards, process methodology and tools for M&A and business development
  • You will prepare or support preparation of different committee presentations and decision support materials
  • You will work on other strategic or business development projects as required in order to support Aurubis Group Strategy implementation

Your Profile

  • Master’s degree and 2-3 years of relevant work experience with exposure to M&A and/or Business Development
  • First-hand experience in a corporate strategy or business development department or a strategy/management consultancy
  • Knowledge of mining and metal industry would be a plus
  • As an effective project manager, you are well organized, stress resistant and able to manage your workload, ensuring the most efficient use and allocation of your time
  • Experience in business evaluation and financial modeling
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build and develop relationships with people at all levels in the organization
  • Ability to use MS Office applications to a high standard, especially Microsoft Excel and Power Point
  • Fluent in business English; German and other languages would be a plus
