In Supply Chain Management, we plan, control, and optimize a material flow of more than 3 million tons per year in the world’s most sustainable smelter network with continuous growth in Europe and the USA. To support our Supply Chain management division in Hamburg, we are looking for you as soon as possible as

Project Manager Group SCM (Manager Digital Material Flow Excellence) (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

  • In this position, you will manage the digitalization of our material flows within the Aurubis Group in coordination with local units (esp. supply chain management, production planning, material accounting).
  • You will build up a group-wide network of experts from each site and promote group-wide exchange on continuous improvement regarding material flows.
  • Additionally, you will manage the group-wide project "Group MES (Manufacturing Execution System)", develop and rollout the novel MES to all locations.
  • You lead the international project team consisting of experts from all our locations and corporate IT. You take over the responsibility for budget planning as well as the project management.
  • In addition, you will develop innovations for material flow management and support our sites using group-wide standards.

Your Profile

  • You have successfully completed a college/university degree (ideally Master level) or equivalent in engineering, informatics, economics or a related subject.
  • You have strong drive for improving and challenging status quo combined with an ambition for a strong future career in Aurubis.
  • In addition, you have first leadership experience, as a lateral or disciplinary leader and experience with material flows is desired.
  • You have sound knowledge and experience in designing, harmonizing and optimizing processes.
  • You have pronounced analytical, pragmatic problem solving and project management skills combined with strategic and entrepreneurial thinking
  • Project management is a common companion of yours whilst knowledge of the development of software products is an advantage.
  • You have a “bridge-builder” mentality with a passion for connecting and empowering people: Excellent communication skills from shop floor to senior management level
  • You are fluent in English.
  • Target focused, team oriented, self-reflecting, reliable and persistent when dealing with resistance rounds off your profile.
  • You have the willingness to dedicate 40% of your time on business trips.
