We are looking for you to support our team in Hamburg as a

 

(Senior) Manager Business Development Battery Recycling (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

  • In this position, you will play a strategically important role to develop businesses as well as business/commercial models within the scope of battery recycling and battery materials (chemicals and metals). Therefore, you develop business relations with suppliers and customers.
  • You establish relationships with key participants like automotive OEMs, battery manufacturers, recyclers and chemical companies that produce cathode material in the lithium-ion battery value chain. You collect, analyze and provide input of third party (e.g., OEM, cell manufacturers) requirements with regards to scope, level and quality of services and/or products.
  • In addition, you are responsible for preparing co-operations and enabling and supporting the conclusion of respective agreements.
  • You develop internal and external growth options and support M&A activities in the area of battery materials.
  • Furthermore, you develop selling and value propositions for potential partners on the supply and sales side.
  • You prepare or support the preparation of respective project proposals and supporting documentation for decision-making, including e.g., strategic rationale, business models, business plans and risk assessments.
  • You support, conduct and drive relevant market and competitive intelligence in close alignment with the strategy team.

Your Profile

  • You have successfully completed a university degree in business administration, economics or business engineering or in a comparable field.
  • Furthermore, you have at least 5 years of relevant business experience, ideally in the lithium-ion battery supply chain or in lithium-ion battery production/recycling, automotive or e-mobility.
  • A broad understanding of the electric vehicle industry and/or lithium-ion battery supply chain as well as OEM’s requirements with regard to recycling services is needed.
  • You are eager to push the development of a new business model with your know-how and your excellent entrepreneurial, organizational and analytical thinking in an intercultural environment.
  • You possess profound project management experience and skills.
  • Fluent language skills in English and preferably in German are mandatory.
  • You can trust in your knowledge and experience in business development, including the development of business and commercial models.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a high level of stakeholder management round off your profile.
