Aurubis -Richmond is a greenfield site. A greenfield project can describe any project that a team starts from scratch. Your team will heavily rely on you to build and help create policy and procedures.
We are seeking an onsite Maintenance Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of maintenance supervisors and planners to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our equipment and facilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements to increase equipment uptime and reduce maintenance costs. Additionally, you will be responsible for scheduling daily meetings with your team to stay abreast on any issues that arise in the department.
This position requires the ability to travel internationally for training purposes. The ideal candidate will be open to immersing themselves in different cultures and working collaboratively with teams from around the world to gain a comprehensive understanding of our business and industry. This training can last between 2-6 weeks.

Your Tasks
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of maintenance supervisors and ensure the safe and efficient operation of our equipment and facilities.
- Examine planning, schedules, and storeroom areas to ensure accuracy in reporting throughout the department.
- Establish an open communication channel with production management to ensure all issues are resolved and predicting any future issues.
- Monitoring work order data ensuring its accuracy for reporting.
- Assigning FRACAS to each maintenance supervisor
- Monitor and adjust KPI dashboards as needed.
- Organize weekly single point lessons to be presented by each crew.
- Be readily available to your team when needed.
- Identify areas for improvement to increase equipment uptime and reduce maintenance costs.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify the underlying causes of equipment failures.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent equipment failures from recurring.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including developing and maintaining safety programs.
- Stay up to date with new technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to maintenance management.
- Collaborate with other managers, engineers, and operations staff to ensure successful equipment reliability improvements.
Your Profile
Required
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in maintenance management, including experience managing a team of maintenance technicians.
- Experience with ISO55000 series
- Strong understanding of equipment design, operation, and maintenance principles.
- Strong understanding of SAP Plant Maintenance or other CMMS
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to conduct root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
Preferred (but not required)
- Experience with ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001/ISO 45001.
- Experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector is a plus.

Physical Requirements
- Must be willing and physically able to walk/work in, observe and spend time in a smelter environment.
- Must be willing and physically able to work in intense heat situations.
- Prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, climbing, balancing, crouching and kneeling.
- May have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, in meetings or presenting and training.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Ability to travel throughout facility as required to conduct audits and/or walk-throughs
- Must wear all required PPE when in protected areas.
- Required to reach and grasp with hands and reach with arms.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to respond to any safety incident quickly and effectively and/or accident including First Responder duties.
- Willing and physically able to travel domestically and/or internationally, if requested.
- This is an extensively physical role.
