Job Summary:

We are seeking an onsite Maintenance Planner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance activities to ensure the reliable operation of equipment and facilities. The successful candidate will work closely with maintenance technicians, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure maintenance tasks are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Your Tasks

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance program, including preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and corrective maintenance.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules to minimize disruptions to operations.
  • Develop detailed work plans, including labor and material requirements, and ensure work orders are complete and accurate.
  • Monitor and update maintenance metrics, such as work order completion rates, downtime, and equipment availability.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Work with maintenance technicians, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify and prioritize maintenance needs.
  • Review and evaluate maintenance procedures and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and maintenance logs.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance technicians and other staff as needed.

Your Profile

Required

  • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in maintenance planning or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of maintenance software and systems, such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be willing and physically able to walk/work in, observe and spend time in a smelter environment
  • Must be willing and physically able to work in intense heat situations
  • Prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, climbing, balancing, crouching and kneeling.
  • May have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, in meetings or presenting and training
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
  • Ability to travel throughout facility as required to conduct audits and/or walk-throughs
  • Must wear all required PPE when in protected areas.
  • Required to reach and grasp with hands and reach with arms
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Must be able to respond to any safety incident quickly and effectively and/or accident including First Responder duties.
  • Willing and physically able to travel domestically and/or internationally, if requested
  • This is an extensively physical role
