Senior Mechanical Project Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

  • Project Engineering: Manage mechanical project engineering from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with standards and improving project efficiency
  • Layout and Design: Develop and optimize arrangement layouts for metallurgical and process equipment, plant design, and piping to enhance efficiency and ease of operation and maintenance
  • Equipment and Piping: Define design criteria and basic specifications for process and metallurgical equipment, including detail 
  • Procurement and Supplier Management: Review supplier offers, manage RFx documents, and collaborate with suppliers to ensure the best solution
  • Construction and Compliance: Oversee construction, prepare for commissioning, address NCRs, ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations

Your Profile

  • Completed master’s degree or diploma in mechanical engineering or a comparable field
  • Several years of experience in project work and system development
  • Understanding of chemical or metallurgical production processes is an advantage
  • Business fluent in English, German is a plus
  • Very good communication skills to routinely give presentations to relevant stakeholders and external partners
  • Proven solution orientation and independence
  • Strong teamwork skills, experience in conflict resolution, interest in new challenges and intercultural competence
  • Willingness to travel (internationally, approx. 20%) rounds off your profile
