Senior Manager Business Development Battery Recycling (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

• Business development for Aurubis Battery Materials.
• Establishing and maintaining business relationships in the battery and battery recycling value chain.
• Securing recycling raw material feedstock as a goal.
• Initiating and developing partnerships, in particular, with automotive and battery manufacturers as well as companies from the waste management and recycling industry.
• Preparation of appointments/meetings and presentation of Aurubis to customers/suppliers.
• Independent identification of customer/supplier needs.
• Conceptualization of value propositions and business models.
• Coordination with internal stakeholders and development of service offerings.
• Preparation of offers and contracts as well as negotiations.
• Giving presentations to stakeholders and steering committees.
• Co-developing the commercial side of the project and coordinating with specialist departments.
• Investigation of market developments and visual presentation of the results.

Your Profile

• You have successfully completed a university degree in business administration, economics, industrial engineering or similar.
• You have already gained several years of professional experience and have knowledge of business development and the initiation of business relationships/partnerships.
• You have knowledge in the explorative development of customer and supplier needs and in the development of value propositions.
• Ideally, you have experience in the waste disposal business (e.g., industrial waste such as scrap metal) and previous knowledge of lithium-ion battery recycling.
• In addition, you have a basic understanding of the automotive and automotive supply industry and are confident in dealing with and preparing offers for tenders.
• You are experienced in drafting, preparing and negotiating commercial proposals/contracts.
• You have a positive attitude coupled with strong problem-solving skills.
• You have a "can-do" mentality, entrepreneurial mindest and a structured way of working.
• You have strong communication skills and very good teamworking abilities.
• You are just as experienced in dealing with high levels of uncertainty as you are in working with international/ intercultural teams.
• Very good English skills and a confident use of MS Excel and PowerPoint round off your profile.
