Aurubis will continue its investments in strategic large CapEx projects in order to further grow its core business and expand into additional markets while sustaining its current profitability and sustainability. In this context, the centralized Group Engineering Organization (GEO) serves as a key enabler providing expertise and enhanced execution capabilities to the group for the successful implementation of strategic projects. Smooth coordination between commercial, technical / operational and especially funding aspects is hereby mission critical.

As part of the Aurubis’ Group Engineering Organization (GEO), the Manager Large CapEx Projects takes responsibility for the efficient and successful realization of large-scale, high complexity CapEx projects and related workstreams. All large-scale CapEx projects are performed according to a stage gate process with four distinct phases and three stage gates.

The Manager large CapEx Projects leads the project team and is fully responsible for the business case as well as all commercial and technical aspects of the project. He/ she is responsible for a safe delivery of the project objectives within the budget and schedule and directly reports to the owner of the project / steering committees.

Manager Large CapEx Projects (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

  • You have the responsibility for the realization of large CapEx projects
  • Your tasks include set-up, coordination, and monitoring of the project team
  • You achieve project objectives, such as legal, health & safety, sustainability, environment, quality, time schedule and budget (among others)
  • You take over communication of the project status towards projects stakeholders (e.g. project sponsor, Steering Committees)
  • You are in charge of the professional and personal development of project team members

Your Profile

  • You have a Master/Dipl.-Ing. in industrial, mechanical, process engineering or an equivalent qualification, experience in process engineering projects is mandatory
  • You have a minimum of 5 years experience in leading complex process engineering projects (project-volume of >40M€)
  • You have a robust project management skillsset
  • You have the ability to build, motivate and lead the project team as well as willingness for self-development
  • You are willing to travel  (including (partial) international deployment to the project location (Europe and North America))
  • You are able to build up strong networks with internal Stakeholders
  • Excellent language skills in German and English (C level) complete your profile.
