As an Aurubis Maintenance shift Multi-Craft Technician candidate will support production activities and provide up-time critical reliable maintenance support to ensure process efficiency, equipment integrity and maximized output potential.
Candidates shall prioritize safe and effective troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems throughout the plant on a variety of integrated systems essential to production success.
This may include pumps, electric motors, PLC systems, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, emergency welding repair, belting and conveyance systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, gearing, gearboxes, lubrication, critical thinking, vibrational conveyance, exhaust/ dedusting, furnaces, water treatment, medium voltage electrical work, and root cause diagnostics on trouble calls to affected plant systems.
Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician
Your Tasks
Understand approach boundaries, restrictive boundaries, and NFPA 70E trained.
Understand Cal ratings and safety equipment as used in distribution systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plant mechanical electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Troubleshoot electrical/ mechanical issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
Understand LOTO and be able to perform multiple lock out boxes.
Document all maintenance and related activities, including preventative maintenance activities and reactive breakdown repairs in SAP.
Your Profile
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a Multi-Craft Technician or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of electrical/ mechanical systems and troubleshooting.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, work instructions, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Willingness to work flexible hours.
Experience with relevant software tools (e.g., MS Office, SAP, etc.).

Willingness to take responsibility and make decisions within the equipment and process margins.
Welding, Emergency Repairs, Multi-Meter electrical troubleshooting, Bearing Heating and Installation, Precision Measurement, Instrumentation installation and troubleshooting.

Education Required
High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
Must be willing and physically able to walk/work in, observe and spend time in a smelter environment.
Must be willing and physically able to work in intense heat situations.
Able to sit, stand and walk for varying periods of time in the plant.
Must be able to perform the following: walking, standing, climbing, pulling, and or pushing, carrying, grasping, using hand-to-finger movement, balancing, reaching, twisting, turning, and stooping.
May occasionally be required to reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Good physical condition with the ability to lift to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Good hand/eye coordination, motor skills, 20/20 corrected vision and hearing within the normal range. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to respond quickly and efficiently to all safety needs on the floor or in the office areas.
Must wear all required PPE when in protected areas.
Willing and physically able to travel domestically and/or internationally, if requested.
