Managing Director / Plant Manager Avellino (m/f/d)
Your Tasks
- Overall Leadership: You oversee all aspects of the production site’s operations (incl. KPI management), ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols. You foster a strong "Safety-First" culture, in line with our Vision Zero strategy, across the entire site.
- Process Optimization: You identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to increase quality, efficiency and reduce costs.
- Leadership and Team Development: You lead, coach, and develop a diverse team of manufacturing personnel, including supervisors, operators, and support staff and business functions like Finance, HR, IT and others. In addition, you set performance goals, provide ongoing feedback, and conduct evaluations to enhance performance and engagement.
- Stakeholder Management: You liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely availability of raw materials, equipment, and services.
- Budget & Investment Management: You develop and manage the site’s operating budget, ensuring cost-effective resource utilization. Furthermore, you identify capital investment needs in line with the growth strategy, ensure proper planning and scope definition, and collaborate with the management team to secure the successful execution of capital expenditure (CapEx) projects.
- Drive P&L and Growth: You drive revenue growth while actively managing costs in an inflationary environment, ensuring profitability.
- Foster Innovation and Continuous Improvement: You lead initiatives to enhance performance, quality and achieve better outcomes through innovation and continuous improvement, strengthening the company’s competitive edge.
Your Profile
- You have successfully completed a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business economics or a related technical field. An MBA is strongly preferred, and multi-disciplinary experience (operations, finance, HR, business) is a plus
- At least 10 years of professional experience in managerial positions within industrial companies, with deep knowledge of manufacturing operations, risk management, and general management, particularly in the process industry
- Proven experience in managing international projects and teams, with an excellent command of written and spoken Italian and English
- Strong experience in leading change processes, handling stakeholder management, and motivating teams through difficult situations
- Skilled in making decisions in complex environments, balancing conflicting goals such as cost, quality, and reliability while upholding safety, legal compliance, and environmental protection standards
- Demonstrated capability in managing senior staff, employees, and resources effectively, fostering a culture of trust and openness within the site leadership team
- A confident leader with the ability to delegate responsibilities, build trust, and inspire confidence in teams and stakeholders alike
- Exhibit high levels of ambition and passion for results and a clear willingness for self-development with a resilient mindset
- Strong crisis management skills and the ability to mediate conflicts successfully
- A highly entrepreneurial personality with a talent for fast, target-oriented decision-making
- Excellent communication skills, strong teamwork skills and an interest in new tasks and challenges as well as intercultural and leadership empathy
